Dr. Edwin Iversen is Associate Research Professor of Statistical Science, member of the graduate faculty, faculty member in the Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Program and member of the Duke Cancer Institute and its Cancer Prevention, Detection & Control Program. Dr. Iversen's research is focused on Bayesian statistical analysis as applied to problems in genetic epidemiology and cancer research and is inspired by numerous collaborative grant awards related primarily to breast and ovarian cancer genetics and genomics. His primary research interests are gene characterization, methods for analysis of high dimensional genomic data types, methods for genome-wide and pathway-wide disease association studies and inference for population dynamics in cell synchrony experiments.
