PCB's and Lipids in Lake Michigan Fish

It is commonly believed that PCB concentrations and lipid percentages are highly correlated. Is this really the case?

The following data are based on measurements of individual fish from Lake Michigan. The five species are brown trout, lake trout, rainbow trout, Coho salmon and chinook salmon. The columns in the data file are:

Year  species       length (in cm)  %lipids     PCB (mg/kg)

Is there any relationship between PCB concentration and lipid percentages after taking into account the species and size of the fish?
