The materials below from Sleuth are a different presentation of what you may have had in your prerequisite course. I will cover these concepts in class. However, take the time to do this reading and exercises before class.

• Read Chapters 1 & 2 and do all conceptual exercises from Ch 1 and 2 of Sleuth.
• Read Sections 3.2-3.4 of Sleuth, and do Ch. 3 conceptual exercises #1,2,3,4,9,10,12, 14, 19.
• Read Ch 5.2, 5.3, 5.5, 5.6.1 of Sleuth. Do all Ch. 5 conceptual exercises. Computational exercise # 20
• Overview of linear regression: M&M, Sections 2.1-2.3
