The file clean.csv contains the data to be used for this lab These data were originally conducted as part of an annual survey conducted by ETC Institute on behalf of the City of Durham. For more details on this survey, see associated documents here.

This survey contained quality-of-life results with a number of aspects of Durham’s municipal services. Note that this scale ranged from 1 - highly dissatisfied to 5 - highly satisfied. 9 indicates a missing value.

  1. Evaluate whether perceived satisfaction with quality of life is associated with whether the resident rents or owns their home.
  2. Now, account for the potentially confounding variables of race and sex. What patterns do you observe?
