HOMEWORK

Homework will be posted on tuesday; it will be collected the following tuesday; and it will be returned graded during recitation on the following week.
We will assign a couple of problems every week. Usually one of them will be an application to real data while the other will stress understanding of basic concepts.

Numbers correspond to exercises in the book by Berry. Look for exercise 2.20 in Chapter 2, exercise 3.5 in Chapter 3 and so on.

You are encouraged to exchange ideas with other people when you work on problems, but you are expected to hand in your own solution sets. Many homework problems involving real life examples will require the use of a computer. Unedited and uncommented computer output will not be accepted. Also, even if you work on a team, you must perform all computer work yourself, and hand in your own computer output.
