In this course, we learn about the basis laws of probability, statistics inference and principles of data analysis. It will provide the mathematical and statistical background needed for students to study econometrics, financial statistics and more advanced methods of quantitative analyses in the natural and social sciences.

The course will covered following topics
  • Exploratory data analysis
  • Calculus based probability, expectations and variances
  • Confidence intervals and hypothesis testing
  • Linear regression and correlation
  • Bayesian perspective in statistical inference
