Please come prepared to class by reading the "Thought Questions" for the assigned Chapter (and read the rest of the Chapter too!).

Homework Problems will typically involve problems from the text. These will usually be due the following Monday by 5 pm unless noted otherwise. Mini-projects will be presented in lab and may continue over several weeks. I would encourage you to work in groups (up to 4 people) to discuss and work through the homework and Mini-Projects. For each group, turn in only one solution/write-up, but make sure you include all 4 names so that everyone gets credit! Homework answers should be concise; most questions can be answered with a sentence or two. Assignments may be turned in by the due date in class, lab or to the box outside of 219A Old Chemistry.

To make sure that you understand the concepts, I would encourage you to work as many of the unassigned questions in the text. Answers to some questions are at the end of the book.
